Wells Gray Provincial Park (tel. 604/371-6400; http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/) is British Columbia's third-largest park, encompassing more than 526,500 hectares (1.3 million acres) of mountains, rivers, lakes, volcanic formations, glaciers, forests, and alpine meadows.
Park can be accessed off Hwy #5 at Clearwater or turn off Hwy 97 at 100 Mile House. Murtle Lake is accessed off highway 5 at Blue River. For more details, see description of various areas of the park.
